报告摘要:The coexistence of different geometric shapes at low energies presents a universal structure phenomenon that occurs over the entire chart of nuclides. Studies of shape transitions and coexistence are important for understanding the microscopic origin of collectivity and modifications of shell structure in exotic nuclei far from stability.
A systematic introduction and analysis of characteristic signatures of coexisting nuclear shapes and shape transitions in different mass regions will be presented using a global self-consistent theoretical method based on nuclear energy density functionals and the collective Hamiltonian model. Predictions for quadrupole and octupole deformation energy surfaces, low-energy excitation spectra and transition rates, as well as shape invariants, will be compared to available data for a large number of even-even nuclei. The same theoretical framework can also be used to analyse static and dynamic aspects of the fission process.
